SABERTOOTH BLENNIES

Body very elongate; snout conical, strongly overhanging relatively small mouth; teeth stout, not movable, with greatly enlarged canines towards front of lower jaw; gill opening greatly reduced, on flank above pectoral fin; dorsal fin origin a little before gill opening, long, low, without notch; no lateral line.

A tropical Indo-Pacific genus with 10 species; 1 in and endemic to our region.
