Widebanded Cleaning Goby
Elongate; head rounded; upper lip connected to snout at front; a pore midway between front of the two eyes; 2 pores on preopercle; no teeth on roof of mouth; tongue with blunt tip; dorsal dorsal VII (1st spine filamentous in male) + I, 10 (9-10); anal rays I, 9 (7-10); pectoral rays 20-21; pelvic fins fused in a disc; tail rounded; no scales.
Head and anterior part of body red orange grading to dark brown posteriorly; head with 3 narrow pink to whitish bars, 9-10 straight narrow white bars on body.
Size: reaches 3.4 cm.
Inhabits rocky reefs, cleans parasites from other fishes (frequently moray eels).
Depth: 5-30 m?
Central Gulf of California to central Mexico.
