Inornate goby
Elongate; head depressed; upper lip connected to snout at front; a pore midway between front of the two eyes; 2 pores on preopercle; no teeth on roof of mouth; tongue with blunt tip; gill rakers 6 (5-7); dorsal VII (1st spine filamentous in both sexes, longer in male)+ I, 10 (9-10); anal rays I, 9 (8-9); pectoral rays 19 (18-21); pelvic fins fused in a disc; tail rounded; no scales.
Head orange-red or pinkish, with 3 white bars; an additional white bar at level of pectoral fin base; body translucent yellow with 5 broad, internal brown bars, pale interspaces narrower; tail fin yellow..
Size: to 3.3 cm.
Inhabits coral and rocky reefs.
Depth: 5-30 m.
Costa Rica to Colombia.
