Sola's goby
Body robust; head round; no crest along top of head and nape; mouth very oblique; head without pores; papillae around mouth, on cheeks and operculum and over eye; front nostril a long tube, rear nostril a raised rim; tongue round to blunt; 5-7 gill rakers; dorsal fin VI (2nd & 3rd spines filamentous in male)+ I, 12 rays; 9 anal rays; 21-22 pectoral rays; pectoral rays unbranched; pelvics fused into disc; tail fin short, round, with 17 segmented rays; scales rough, body covered, ~ 27 lateral scale rows, none on head, nape, chest and pectoral base.
Red; 12 narrow blue bars on body, and 4 on head, those bars (but not the wider interspaces) with thin dark centers; lower head with brown spots.
Size: 3.4 cm.
Habitat: probably rocky substrata.
Depth: 60-100 m?
Gorgona Island (Colombia).
