Narrow-headed clingfish
Tadpole shaped, head short, narrow, well depressed, snout long; eye large; papillae on head poorly developed, short lobes, none on top lip or tip of snout above top lip; top lip broad, much wider at front than at sides; rear nostril directly over front edge of eye, front nostril with a simple, unlobed flap; top jaws each with an irregular outer row of pointed teeth, & a patch of irregular teeth behind them, canines along side; teeth on lower jaw in 2 rows, outer row larger, 3-4 pairs of round-tipped incisors at front, followed by row of long canines; anus much nearer sucker than anal fin origin; sucker large, with papillae at front (a broad band), center (2 widely spaced patches) & rear, with 5 rows of papillae across front section, patches in center each with 3 longitudinal rows of papillae; a large fleshy pad with free rear edge at base of pectoral fin; dorsal fin with short base, 8-10 rays, well behind pectoral; anal rays 6-7; pectoral rays 21-22; caudal rays 11-13.
(Preserved fish) Top and sides pale, translucent, evenly covered with very small brown dots; fins clear, except for few dots at pectoral base; underside pale, 2 rows of larger dark spots from sucker to alongside anus.
Tamaño: 2.8 cm.
Hábitat: fondos rocosos.
Profundidad: 0-10 m?
