Thick clingfish
Tadpole shaped, head broad, depressed; papillae on head extensively developed, some finger-like, at center of as well as along margin of top lip; center of top lip with 3 very small papillae, 4 small papillae on snout above those; top lip broad, much wider at front than at sides; rear nostril over front edge of eye, front nostril with a simple flap; top jaws each with an irregular outer row of pointed teeth, & a patch of irregular teeth behind them, canines along side; teeth on lower jaw in 2 rows, outer row larger, 5 pairs of small, pointed incisors at front, followed by row of canines; anus closer to anal fin origin than to sucker; sucker large, with papillae at front (a broad band), center (2 widely spaced patches) & rear, 10 rows of papillae across front section, a large fleshy pad with free rear edge at base of pectoral fin; dorsal fin 14 rays; anal rays 10; pectoral rays 24; caudal rays 12.
(Preserved fish) Top and sides covered with small dense rusty spots; lower surface green; dorsal and anal clear, with 2 brown stripes; tail: dark brown base, clear outer part with 2 brown bars; pectoral lightly spotted with brown.
Size: 2.7 cm.
Habitat: rocky shores.
Depth: 0-10 m?
