High-forehead clingfish
Body slender, only slightly depressed at front; head narrow, snout short, profile almost vertical, with mouth opening underneath; eyes large; front nostril an elongate tube, without a flap; rear nostrils slightly tubular; top lip broad at front, narrow on sides; teeth in 1 row on both jaws, with 2-pointed incisors at front of both jaws; 5-7 short, blunt gill rakers; median fins short; 1 dorsal fin, at rear, no spines, 8; anal fin 7, like dorsal fin and under it; first ray hidden on dorsal and anal fins; pectoral rays 26; a poorly developed fleshy pad on lower pectoral base; sucker medium sized, papillae small,center with group of 10 papillae followed by a forward pointing V shaped group of 5 papillae; no scales; lateral line present as pores on head only.
Preserved fish: uniform pale; faint dark color on tail region.
Reaches 2.1 cm.
Coralline algae on soft bottoms.
Depth range: 68-69 m.
