Habitat
Growing on hard substrates.
Distribution
Greater Antilles, Lesser Antilles, Southern Caribbean, Western Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico.
Characteristics
Yellow-brown bushy thallus (Image 1). Wide dichotomous branching near the base with narrow dichotomies at the apices. Minute marginal teeth. A single layer of rectangular medullary cells (Image 2). Surfaces hairs scattered and in tufts.
