Species description based on Savage (2002). A very small frog (males to 19.5 mm, females to 25 mm).

The dorsal surface is green, without any patterning,except for the head, which is reddish.

The ventral surface is pale green or yellow and rather transparent.

The eye is reddish-orange.

Lowland and premontane forest [from sea level] to 1245 m.

This species has recently been found on Cerro Chucantí, Serranía Majé, Darien Province, Panama.
