Pitcher silverside

Top of head profile ~ straight, depth of head 16.4-19.9% of SL; top jaw not very extendible, encloses lower jaw when mouth is closed; origin of first dorsal over origin of anal; base of last ray of second dorsal fin behind base of last ray of anal fin; pectorals reach tips of pelvics; pelvics not reaching to anus; 2 rows of scales along base of anal fin.

Lateral stripe narrow, < diameter of eye, 2.5 scale rows wide, not narrowing at rear.

Size: 10 cm.

Habitat: coastal surface.

Depth: 0-10 m?

Southern Baja to the mouth of the Gulf of California to Peru.
