Introduction Logging-in Data Provider Data User File Manager FAQs
User Manual - Introduction

Welcome to the Office of BioInformatics's File Distributor file sharing and management system. The purpose of this system is to provide STRI staff with an easy-to-use, secure method to share files.

Among File Distributor's features are:
  Password, time-limited file access
Large files up to 200MBytes can be uploaded and shared

Download statistics for data providers to track who has downloaded what files
Files can be saved in different directories
Directories can be given read/write privileges individually
Permits others to download, modify and re-upload those files when authorized

File Distributor users are divided into two classes: Data Providers and Data Users

Data Providers can upload, download and delete files, create folders (directories), create new Data User identities, assign who has access to their data, determine which files may be modified by Data Users, and see download statistics for their files.

Data Users can download and upload files only to which they have been given access. When authorized, these files can be modified and sent back to File Distributor
